YUMENOMORI PARK

白樺が特徴的な高原地域にある谷地の公共公園。敷地隣には公民館、図書館や駅、周辺には小中学校や町役場があるため多世代が交流できる公園を目指した。既存白樺林内のケヤキやナナカマドを中央に移植することで子供たちのプレイパークを形成し公園のシンボルとする。新たに白樺で統一された林の中に休憩/管理棟を設ける。近隣施設との回遊性を向上する散歩道を設け、道上に健康器具や幼児遊具を点在させそれぞれ環境の違う場をつくる。造成工事は敷地内で完結できるように切土と盛土を同量にしている。
- A public park situates on plateau region, where white birch trees are observed characteristically. The park is expected to be used by various generations as site is surrounded by public facilities, train station and schools. Existing zelkova and rowan trees are to be relocated in the middle of kids’ play-park to become new park’s symbolic trees.  Concept is to raise the symbolic trees along with children as they grow older. New walkway is designed to gain park’s accessibility and different scenes are created with diverse variety of equipment for different generations, such as elders and small children. The amount of cut and fill of existing soil are the same so that there is no waste disposal.
